On a similar note, BITSAA is also excited to have a new CMO who has already broken several internal records in leading the BITSAA Global Meet core team. 

In the last year, Abhisheak Iyer created from scratch a global  team that organized the first-ever BITS Pilani Alumni Global Meet. He has influenced, “shaken” and earned numerous kudos worldwide from people across the board  and within BITSAA. Abhisheak’s network and personal relationships within the alumni leadership extend from Pilani to Palo Alto, from Hyderabad to Houston, from Delhi to Denver and so on.

Abhisheak is now hard at work creating and leading the new Chapter Relations initiative that will energize and rally chapters across the world.

Uzma Hussain, the ex-CMO, has promised to remain on the sidelines to help when she can. “Thank you very much for your great service to the BITSian community – esp with the Scholarships Team and BITSAA India Trust formation and activities,” says Trustee Sarath Kolla. Uzma, you personified the BITSian spirit and Leadership!

 

Speaking of Chapter Relations, our spanking new team was formed with the goal of streamlining all chapter activities so that we can learn from each other’s successes, whether it is to fund-raise for a dear one or host a networking session or just have a long laccha session. Shwetha Kailash takes on Chapter Relations as the President (previously Director, Communications) and Vishrut Shukla the Vice-President (previously Manager, Technology) as they set new goals and tear down barriers.
